Direct mail remains one of the largest advertising methods for U.S. businesses
The manager of Direct Mail and Periodicals for the USPS has said that with the average household being bombarded by over 150 email ads a day, direct mail is a way for businesses to stand out.
He pointed out that direct mail also lets you create a one-on-one connection with the customer in a way that other advertising channels can't match. He also said that direct mail campaigns can be used for a range of purposes from promoting a product to learning more about potential customers.
Direct mail can also be highly targeted to those people most likely to respond.
